"Deep Throated" Media Swallows Banker Lies

June 4, 2005

FeltBy Henry Makow, Ph.D.

In their exclusive clubs, central bankers and their CIA-CFR minions are toasting the gullibility of the American public and having a good laugh. While portraying Watergate as a victory for press freedom and democracy, they were again able to make a mockery out of both.

Last week, they rolled out a senile man of 91, former FBI Deputy Director Mark Felt, and announced that he was the infamous "Deep Throat."

Ex-Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein admitted that Felt provided clues that led to the 1974 impeachment of Richard Nixon for the Watergate burglary and obstruction of justice.

Watergate was a coup d'etat. Nixon was framed by the CIA. Felt's true role now is to provide a "feel good" moment and deflect attention from the CIA. The family of central banker Eugene Meyer owns The Washington Post, which has long established ties to the CIA.

Nixon's Watergate missteps were an excuse to remove a popular President who had just won a landslide victory and had become a threat to central banker hegemony.

According to Seymour Hersh, in an article entitled "The Pardon," (Atlantic Monthly, Aug. 1983, p.69) a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff recalled that on Dec. 22, 1973, Nixon tried to get military support to resist the "eastern elite."

"He kept on referring to the fact that he may be the last hope, [that] the eastern elite was out to get him. He kept saying, "This is our last and best hope. The last chance to resist the fascists [of the Left]." (William T. Still, New World Order, Ancient Plan of Secret Societies, p. 12)

According to Webster Tarpley and Anton Chaitkin, (The Unauthorized Biography of George Bush): "The reason the Watergate scandal escalated into the overthrow of Nixon has to do with the international monetary crisis of those years, and with Nixon's inability to manage the collapse of the Bretton Woods system and the US dollar in a way satisfactory to the Anglo-American financial elite...

"Broadly speaking, Watergate was a coup d'etat which was instrumental in laying the basis for the specific new type of authoritarian-totalitarian regime which now rules the United States. The purpose of the coup was to rearrange the dominant institutions of the US government so as to enhance their ability to carry out policies agreeable to the increasingly urgent dictates of the British [re. Rothschild] -dominated Morgan- Rockefeller-Mellon-Harriman financier faction."

A LITTLE HISTORY

As I have said, sham democracy is the bankers' preferred method of social control. They groom the candidates, own the media and pay the talking heads. If an elected official gets silly notions about defending the national interest, they arrange a plane cash or an impeachment.

Until 1972, Richard Nixon had been a compliant pawn of the Rothschild-Rockefeller cabal. In 1947, he answered an ad placed by some powerful businessmen looking for someone to run for Congress. The advertiser was none other than Prescott Bush, grandfather of Dubya, and a partner in Rothschild banking asset Brown Brothers Harriman.

After his humiliating defeat to California Governor Pat Brown in 1962, Nixon worked for John Mitchell, Nelson Rockefeller's personal attorney and lived rent-free in a posh apartment owned by Nelson Rockefeller. His job was to become President in 1968 when, to the consternation of his conservative supporters, he pursued Rockefeller's "internationalist" polices.

The bankers pulled the plug on Nixon because he was becoming unmanageable. Already before 1972, Nixon is heard on tape agreeing with Billy Graham that something had to be done about the "Jewish stranglehold" on the mass media or the "country will go down the drain." He also referred to elite-party-place Bohemian Grove as "the most faggy goddamn thing I've ever seen".

JIM HOUGAN WEIGHS IN

Jim Hougan, co-author Silent Coup: The Removal of a President (1992) believes Felt was badgered into playing this role by family and friends. Felt is 91 years old, and counting. A reporter who recently interviewed him found the interview an incoherent waste of time, and killed his own story.

According to Houghton, Felt wrote a book about his career in the FBI. In it, he goes out of the way to say that he met Woodward on a single occasion. This was in Felt's FBI office, and the upshot of it was that Felt told Woodward that he would not cooperate with him in his pursuit of "Watergate."

Houghton says no one in or around the Nixon White House was in a position to know all of the things that Throat is alleged to have told Woodward. For example, Felt had no way of knowing about the 18-and-a-half minute gap in Rosemary Woods' tape. This strongly suggests that Throat was a composite.

"What we have here, then, is the sad spectacle of an old man being manipulated," says Houghton. "The only person who meets [the Deep Throat] criteria, to my knowledge, is Robert Bennett. Now one of the most powerful men in the U.S. Senate, Bennett was President of the Robert R. Mullen Company in 1972-3. This was the CIA front for which Howard Hunt worked."

Houghton obtained a memo under the Freedom of Information Act in which Bennett admits he is briefing Bob Woodward. "Woodward's gratefulness was manifest in the way he kept the CIA, in general, and the Robert R. Mullen Company, in particular, out of his stories."

CONCLUSION

If we count the Kennedy Assasination, the impeachment of Richard Nixon was the second coup d'etat by the central bankers in a dozen years. They were steps leading to their attack on the World Trade Center and the inception of the repressive Patriot Act.

Last week, the "free press" earned the title "Deep Throat" by demonstrating that, for a small price, it would swallow anything.

The carefully staged event illustrates how far it has gone from being guardian of the public interest to being an instrument of mass deception and social control. In the New World Order, opportunists and traitors like Bob Woodward and Mark Felt are "heroes" while our defenders like Richard Nixon are defamed.

George Orwell famously said that "he who controls the past controls the future."
If the best values of Western Civilization are to survive, historical truth clearly is something we must struggle to uphold.

It appears Felt was a Watergate source, how significant I don't know.

also had the impression that Felt is squid ink released to hide who was really behind the Nixon coup. The answer is obviously the CIA. Have you read Michael Collins Piper's Final Judgement? He does an excellent job of deducing that James Jesus Angleton, the number three man at the CIA, was behind the Nixon Coup and also the JFK assassination. Whoever it was had to have been astute enough to know they had to get rid of both Agnew and Nixon to put the totally corrupt Ford in office.

I knew there was something fishy when they produced this 91 year old guy who has dementia and connot be questioned about the details of his alleged role..

Given some of what I have heard about Nixon, your recent Rense Post is eye opening indeed.

A great deal has been written about him as the "GodFather" of the current monetary debacle the looms.....and may well doom us, when he closed the Gold Window and put the dollar into the "dirty float". This seemingly played directly into the hand of the money masters.

Further, some researchers claim that his break in motivations came from concern that documents linking him to Anti-Castro death squads funded by Howard Hughes were in posession of the DNC and in the office that was broken into in Watergate.

This documents would have supposedly done much to sully his "popularity".

But he should now join the ranks of those like Lincoln and Kennedy who were killed because they were going to pull the rug out from under the real "money and power"? Big pill to swallow. Then again, we have been given some big ones haven't we? 9/11 being the biggest lately!

It is my firm belief, that if all the manipulations of our realities were revealed by showing the entire Pandoras box of control and the pure putrid evil behind it, Joe SixPack would simply change the channel!!! A ball score or NASCAR race is so much easier to understand.

They have done their job well.

With sincere respect for your work,

Dear Dr. Makow,

I appreciate your insight into this Felt/Deep Throat issue that suddenly popped up from nowhere. What this shows is that the mainstream media is not > just "left-leaning" (ABCNBCCBSCNNPBC) or "right-leaning" (Fox News, talk > radio) but totally controlled by the Power Elite to effect "discontinuous"
events in their overall global scheme of total control and slavery.

But I must disagree with your judgment on Nixon as a defender (of freedom).
Nixon was just as corrupt as the Power Elite that he supposedly was fighting against (without their support and handlers he would never have become the President). This is the "Conservative" and "anti-Communist" who paved the way to recognize Communist China--whose economic situation with the US today
is the Damocles Sword hanging over the US. For Pete's sake, Kissinger was in his Cabinet! And did he have any role in the assassination of JFK?

Nixon is not a defender of freedom and liberty, just another opportunist politician whose inflated ego got the better of him and who ticked off the Power Elite one to many times (vehemently pursuing the Alger Hiss case when
he was told not to, not selecting Nelson Rockefeller as his VP, etc.)

Dear David,

Thanks. I will post. If they wanted to get rid of Nixon, he must have been doing something right!

Dr. Henry:
Once again I really enjoyed your latest article "Deep Throated" Media Swallows Banker Lies. (Definitely one of your more creative titles, to say the least.)
Immediately it made me think of some glitches I noticed in the Vanity Fair article describing the "outing" of W. Mark Felt as Watergate informer Deep Throat. Examine these paragraphs from the first page of the article, describing Woodward's surprise visit to the Felt household in 1999:

http://www.vanityfair.com/commentary/content/articles/050530roco02
Woodward and Felt waited in the car while Joan popped into the grocery store. On the way home, Joan remembers, Woodward asked her, "Would it be all right to take your dad to lunch and have a drink?" She agreed. And so, once back at the house, Woodward left to get his car.

Joan, always looking after her dad's health, realized she should probably caution Woodward to limit her father to one or two drinks. Yet when she opened the front door, she could find neither the reporter nor his car. Puzzled, she decided to drive around the neighborhood, only to discover him outside the Felts' subdivision, walking into a parking lot of a junior high school some eight blocks from the house. He was just about to enter a chauffeured limousine. Joan, however, was too polite to ask Woodward why he had chosen to park there. Or why, for that matter, he had come in a limo.

Why would Woodward be traveling in a limo? Is that a standard perk for Washington Post editors on assignment? And why did Woodward hide the car eight blocks from the house? Who else was in the limo? Why all of the secrecy?

As well as this juicy little tidbit from page 6:

Felt, over the strong objections of his lawyers that the jury had been improperly instructed, claimed that he was following established law-enforcement procedures for break-ins when national security was at stake. Even so, Felt was convicted two years later. Then, in a stroke of good fortune while his case was on appeal, Ronald Reagan was elected president and, in 1981, gave Felt a full pardon.

Funny how the mainstream media seems to ride right over these little glitches in their zeal to arrive at what appear to be predetermined conclusions as you say...

Henry,

Thanks for your latest article titled "Deep Throated Media Swallows Bankers' Lies". I would like to add one comment that I know you don`t agree with, Henry.

You write: "If we count the Kennedy Assasination, the impeachment of Richard Nixon was the second coup d'etat by the central bankers in a dozen years." My comment is that here could come the third coup d`etat with the announcement of John Kerry (the bankers`s key political figure in the USA) that he will begin the presentation of his case for President Bush’s impeachment to Congress, on Monday.

Just as the bankers` controlled medias have convinced the Americans in 1974 that R. Nixon was the evil, the todays` even more controlled medias have convinced many Americans that G.W. Bush is the evil. In fact, the Nixon and the Bush storyboards are quite similar in that both men were put in power by the same internationalist elite led by a few banker dynasties (Rockefeller is certainly not the most powerful of them) and both have decided eventually to fight these bankers` project concerning the USA. This project being the use of America to destroy any resistance against the coming of a world government controlled by the bankers` dynasties (and not at all by the American or even the anglo-saxon elite as have falsely believed the American christian neo-conservatives).

Unfortunately, before deciding to fight the bankers` project, G.W. Bush was trapped in the "war against terrorism" by attacking the Muslim world and activating the long prepared "Patriot Act". Now the same who have trapped him are trying to get rid of him in the name of the actions themselves have ordered when they still controlled him. If G.W. Bush loses the coming battle, the countdown of America`s sovereignty will begin. This would be tragic since the European nations have already lost their sovereignty, even if the European peoples are beginning to wake up (see the popular reject of the devilish European Constitution project).
